Setback for Prez hopefuls
With the Supreme Court recently questioning clean chit to LK Advani
and others in Ram Janam Bhoomi case and hinting at reviving it, both
LK Advani and Murli Manohar Joshi seem to have lost whatever little
chances they had of becoming the President of India.
Only communal card to work in future polls
Elections in Uttar Pradesh have proved that henceforth only communal
card will work in future polls. It now seems to have become base of

AAP..lehar bann gayi kehar...
My Respected Friend.....a Retired Senior Bureaucrat....
is on a flying visit to Delhi ...but still he takes time out to meet
me at a Coffee Shop in CP.....over Cappuccinos and Cake slices we get
chatting.
Me: Imagine AAP candidate lost his deposit in Delhi...a seat that
he had won by 10, 000 votes... before resigning to stand from Punjab...
Respected Friend: Nothing new for them....all their candidates lost
their Deposits in Goa...but ..yes... for them to lose Deposit in Delhi
..speaks volumes..
M: This should be a trailer for the MCD elections ....
RF: Kejri is desperate... Delhi was his launch pad ....he lost wherever
he tried getting launched ...and now his 'launch pad' has become his
'firing' squad ....lehar bann gayi kehar....
M: Diggy and Manish Tiwari seem to be suffering from an EVM allergy..
.
a Party's aukat is as per its strength in Lok Sabha ..so majority don't
want EVM to go..and we know very well why Congress wants balloting...
M: What's this fixing of food portions in the Food Business...
RF: A damn good idea....its aimed at tackling food wastage ..something
that should be a sin in India...with Food Portions the Calorific Value
will ensure Food Portions are reasonable.. with American style plated
Food becoming a fashion here .. plates are literally overflowing and
wastage is endemic ...
M: Now the Pseudos will say... first Government stopped our Boozing
at will...then our romancing khullam-khullam.. .then khullam khulla
Beef availability ...and now the quantity of food too...
RF: Post MCD Polls Kejri will be headed to Banagalore for a extended
period...
M: But Sir he suffers from multiple maladies... Health... Mental Health
(persecution complex etc).. Duality... Eating .....list is long...so
just Bangalore will not do...
RF: As CM he can fly to any Medical Destination in the World that offers
all treatments under one roof....
M: I know of this alternative treatment Centre that can treat all his
ailments under one roof...its a Tibetan Monastery....only he will have
to stay there for 3 years....
RF: If he does go to this place .....do you know who will be deliriously
happy ...though will show he's sad... one Manish Sisodia....
M: Ha ha.... good one ...suffices as the joke for the road....
We settle bill and move out.

Do away with stamp paper Act and check corruption
In Uttar Pradesh a lot of corruption could be done away with, if we
abolish stamp paper act for registration of properties, paying of property
tax etc. The stamp paper may have come into being at a time there was
not much of banking system in the country. Now we have banks and the
applicants of registration of properties should be told to pay the cost
through on line system or deposit the amount in the bank of the registry.
All the procedures should be online for the purpose registry, with the
Aadhar Card number feeded in it. The Registry Office should print the
registry certificate and hand it to the owner of the property. The certificate
should also be displayed online and be visible for all times to come.
Further, as a pilot project the State Government should launch a campaign
that all the parties in the state are registered and there is no outstanding
payment of property tax by the citizens of the State. This will only
rich the coffers of the state, which has been dented on account of the
waiver of farm loans.

Heart burn over cadre reviews
These Cadre Reviews were at the instance of the specific recommendations
of the 6th Central Pay Commissions recommendations of which were to
be implemented with effect from 1st January, 2006. Unfortunately, all
the Cadre Reviews were sanctioned and implemented prospectively denying
the benefit to those who retired from their jobs in January, 2006 and
thereafter. There is considerable heart burning for the officials so
denied of the benefit of Cadre Review exercises. It would have involved
bare minimum financial implications for the Govt of India yet it would
have certainly generated great amount of goodwill for the Government.
The Government may review its stand atleast now for which several representations
are pending even now. It would also establish that the Govt is embedded
to the Constitutional principles of Right to Equality as enshrined in
Article 14 of the Constitution.
