NBCC’s landmark e-auction of iconic Bharat Business Park yields Rs 5,779 crore (UPDATED)

NBCC (India) Limited has achieved a major milestone with the successful completion of a landmark e-auction at Bharat Business Park (BBP), Sarojini Nagar, New Delhi. The auction offered approximately 23.44 lakh sq. ft. of commercial space across eight towers and received an overwhelming response from multinational corporations, domestic firms, and institutional investors. Of this, around 14 lakh sq. ft. in five towers was auctioned, generating an impressive total sale value of Rs 5,779 crore—the highest ever recorded by NBCC in a single e-auction.

The strong participation and competitive bidding led to a near sell-out across multiple towers and floors, highlighting BBP’s appeal as a premium commercial destination in South Delhi. The average sale price reached Rs 41,207 per sq. ft., marking a 5% increase over the reserve price. Successful bidders included a mix of global and domestic corporates, along with institutional players and public sector undertakings.

Bharat Business Park is envisioned as a modern, sustainable business hub with advanced infrastructure. It will feature energy-efficient systems such as solar power, intelligent building management, EV charging facilities, and water recycling technologies. Additional amenities include centralized air conditioning, high-end safety systems, full power backup, and parking for over 2,800 vehicles.

The funds raised will support ongoing redevelopment projects under the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs, reinforcing NBCC’s self-sustaining urban development model. This success not only strengthens NBCC’s leadership in real estate monetization but also boosts investor confidence, setting a positive tone for India’s commercial property market.
