Vice Admiral Swaminathan is new Navy Chief
Vice Admiral Krishna Swaminathan (PVSM, AVSM, VSM) has been appointed as the next Chief of the Naval Staff (CNS). He will take over from Admiral Dinesh K. Tripathi on May 31, 2026. Presently he is the Flag Officer Commanding-in-Chief of the Western Naval Command.
