Cabinet Secretary Somnathan gets 1-year extension

The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) has approved the proposal for one-year extension in service to Cabinet Secretary Dr. T.V. Somanathan. An IAS officer of 1987 batch from Tamil Nadu cadre, Somnathan was set to retire on August 31, 2026.
