Dr. Pritpal Kaur, IPS, Superintendent of Police, Phek, has launched Project REVIVE, a initiative in the district aimed at rehabilitating inmates of the District Jail through livelihood skill development. Launched on July 25, 2026, the initiative seeks to equip inmates with practical skills that will help them rebuild their lives and earn a dignified livelihood after their release.

Dr. Kaur emphasized that the training program would aid in the rehabilitation of inmates, enabling them to earn an honest living after overcoming past mistakes and temptations. She encouraged them to transform their lives with revived hearts and contribute to a peaceful and progressive society.

The first phase includes training in vermicomposting and other sustainable livelihood practices in collaboration with ICAR-KVK Phek and the District Legal Services Authority (DLSA), Phek.The second phase of Project REVIVE will focus on handicrafts, muda (traditional stools), and other income-generating skills, reinforcing the initiative’s long-term goal of rehabilitation through meaningful employment and self-reliance.
