The upcoming trip has triggered fierce criticism from the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), which accused him of neglecting his domestic political responsibilities. BJP spokesperson RP Singh took a swipe at the Congress leader, questioning how the party expects electoral success when its leader repeatedly travels abroad. Singh also referenced Gandhi’s past international travels, criticizing his previous meeting with US Representative Ilhan Omar and questioning the intent and company kept during foreign visits.
