Supreme Court-MHA confrontation over CAPF deputation

This is arguably the most important personnel-policy development affecting BSF, CRPF, CISF, ITBP and SSB. The Supreme Court has been examining the deployment of IPS officers to CAPFs following its May 2025 judgment directing that deputation posts up to the Senior Administrative Grade should progressively be reduced.
