West Bengal constitutes three-member panel headed by CM to select Information Commissioners

The West Bengal govt has constituted a three-member committee led by Chief Minister Suvendu Adhikari to short-list candidates on the basis of the applications so received as well as for making recommendation for appointment of the State Information Commissioners in the West Bengal Information Commission. The other two members include -- Leader of Opposition, Ritabrata Banerjee and Minister Department of Industry, Commerce & Enterprises Tapas Roy.

The state government has so far received applications from 22 including senior bureaucrats and others.
